Ryan Fitzpatrick knows how to relax and has advice for the Super Bowl teams to as well

Life as an NFL quarterback can be rough. Imagine calling it your profession for almost two decades.

Ryan Fitzpatrick knows all about that. Fitzmagic makes it a point to share about his findings in the NFL in his post-playing days, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t still need to find a way to relax and he recently partnered up with Aruba Tourism Authority to make that happen.

Aruba has a serious commitment to Responsible Tourism, including protecting the island’s natural environment, and they make it a point to celebrate local culture which Ryan got to experience firsthand. He can be seen here on a hike that he took with his wife. Talk about an adventure.

On the subject of talking, Ryan joined me for a conversation about all that Aruba has to offer and a wide-ranging things relative to his career. You can watch our conversation below.

Much has always been made about the fact that Fitzpatrick went to Harvard, and I have to be honest that he put that big brain to work with some quiz questions that I had for him.

You see, recently the NFL had a streak going. Every year from 2007 through 2024 there had been at least one passing play of 90 yards. Nobody pulled it off this past year, Matthew Stafford had the longest with 88, but one of the years in question early on happened because of Ryan.

During the 2009 season Ryan was up against his own endzone when the Buffalo Bills were visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars and he saw Terrell Owens and the rest is history.

Fitzpatrick recalled the moment with vivid memory. He noted that T.O. was originally supposed to run a slant but that Ryan signaled for him to run a go after getting a look at things. Pretty incredible.

Our thanks to Ryan and to Aruba Tourism Authority for the time and the trip down memory lane.
