Rival NFL coach ‘offered to pay’ for Maxx Crosby’s private jet after superstar’s stunning trade confirmed
Maxx Crosby has waved farewell to the Las Vegas Raiders, and to the AFC West.
He is set to head to the Baltimore Ravens in a blockbuster trade that will become official when the new NFL year begins on March 11.

The Ravens are sending two first-round picks — this year’s No. 14 overall selection, and their 2027 pick — to Sin City in return.
Crosby’s departure from the division, no doubt, will delight the Raiders‘ rival teams.
The Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers will no longer have to face one of the league’s premium defenders twice a season.
While Las Vegas haven’t exactly been a massive threat to any of their AFC West rivals in recent years, not having to go up against Crosby as often is a big win for any team that wants to protect their star quarterback.
And that’s why Broncos head coach Sean Payton is very happy to see the back of the Raiders’ game-wrecking defensive end.
Raiders rivals made amusing offer to get Maxx Crosby out of AFC West
So happy, in fact, that he offered to pay for Crosby’s ‘one-way flight’ to Baltimore.
Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer revealed the hilarious offer in a post on X, soon after the trade was announced.
“Sean Payton called me soooo fired up the Raiders traded Maxx Crosby and even just texted Maxx saying he’s offering to pay a private plane one-way flight to Baltimore,” Glazer shared on Saturday.
“Happy to see him out of the division. Funny. But also added, ‘You are an inspiration to watch compete against.’
“Payton has long raved about how Maxx never slows down during games.”

Crosby, of course, wreaks havoc against most teams he faces.
But since arriving in the NFL as a fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft, he’s become very familiar with the Broncos and whoever their quarterback is.
He’s played 14 games against Denver, and during those contests, piled up an impressive 16.5 sacks — most recently against Bo Nix, who is recovering from a broken ankle this offseason.
In simple terms, Crosby was averaging over one sack per game against the team.
He also added a further 40 solo tackles in those match-ups.
Payton, unsurprisingly, will sleep a little easier knowing that one of the NFL’s top pass-rushers will be out of his division come 2026.

The Broncos might bump into Crosby again in the playoffs one day, but that’s a problem for further down the line.
Maxx Crosby out to win trust of Ravens fans
Super Bowl glory, of course, is something the Ravens will be targeting with Crosby on board.
Baltimore has fallen short of the big game in recent years, despite being led by Lamar Jackson, one of the best — and highest-paid — quarterbacks in the league.
In 2025, the franchise failed to make the playoffs, and long-time head coach John Harbaugh paid the price.

The Ravens have made a big offseason splash as they look to set things right, and Crosby is aware he needs to ‘earn the trust’ of fans if he’s to succeed at M&T Bank Stadium.
“Flock nation, everybody in the whole city of Baltimore, I’ve got a lot to learn,” the new arrival said, as he broke his silence on the trade.
“Everything is going to be new to me and I’m excited and tackling this head on like I do everything else.
“Fans there, I’m not going to sit here and make a bunch of grand predictions or anything of that nature.

“I’m going there with one purpose and that’s to help this team to get to where it needs to be and that’s where everybody wants to go and that’s winning the Super Bowl.”
