Rich Paul reveals how Jaylen Brown feels about LeBron James-76ers partnership

Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown was fully supportive of the team’s pursuit of LeBron James throughout free agency, according to James’ longtime agent, Rich Paul.

Speaking on the latest episode of Game Over with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul, Paul dismissed any notion that Brown was hesitant about sharing the spotlight with the four-time NBA champion after James signed a two-year contract with Philadelphia.

Paul said he expects Brown to embrace the opportunity to learn from one of the NBA’s greatest players as the two begin playing together.

“I imagine they’ll have lockers next to each other and bus rides and plane rides. If I was a player I definitely would be asking all the questions I can in terms of how do I handle these [media] things and how did you handle these things?”

Paul also revealed that Brown remained supportive throughout James’ free agency process and made his feelings clear during conversations with him.

“If I’m a player I’d ask all the questions i can in terms of how I can handle these media things… Just to make it clear Jaylen [Brown] is fully on board with LeBron [James] coming.”

Rich Paul says Jaylen Brown fully embraced LeBron James joining the 76ers

The comments put to rest any speculation that Brown may have been concerned about James joining the 76ers after establishing himself as one of the franchise’s cornerstone players following his arrival from the Boston Celtics earlier this offseason.

Instead, Paul’s remarks suggest Brown viewed the partnership as an opportunity to strengthen Philadelphia’s championship aspirations while benefiting from James’ experience on and off the court.

James enters his 24th NBA season as the league’s all-time leading scorer and one of basketball’s most accomplished players. Even at 41, he remains one of the NBA’s premier playmakers and leaders.

The pairing of James and Brown gives the 76ers one of the league’s most talented duos entering the 2026-27 season. Based on Paul’s comments, both stars appear aligned on the shared goal of competing for a championship, with Brown embracing the chance to play alongside one of the defining players of his generation.
