Ravens’ Robert Griffin III reveals eye-catching rookie who elevates Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens are trying to get over this slump they’ve found themselves in. Despite being one of the best teams in the league on paper, they still haven’t even made it to the Super Bowl. After failing to make the postseason last year, they’re hoping to get another crack at the Lombardi this year.

Most of their success will come from how this team gels under new head coach Jesse Minter. The Ravens have also brought in a few intriguing rookies. That includes wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, a player that Robert Griffin III is eyeing as a potential game-changer for Baltimore this season.

After their preseason game, Griffin had nothing but praise for Lane, calling him a potential superstar. The ex-NFL quarterback said that Lane’s presence will be a boon for the Ravens, as he adds an extra dimension to their offense.

Lane was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The USC wide receiver was drafted due to his physical traits and athletic capabilities. Baltimore is hoping that Lane develops into the next great wide receiver for the team moving forward. He’ll be joining a pass catching group headlined by Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews.

The Ravens have undergone a lot of changes off the field as well. We already mentioned Minter: the former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator will now be leading the team this year. Additionally, Baltimore will have a different mind leading the offense: Declan Doyle. Doyle’s experience under Ben Johnson last season should help jumpstart a stagnating offense.
