Randal Kolo Muani tipped for shock transfer after Tottenham fans say he’s ‘worse than Timo Werner’
Randal Kolo Muani’s time at Tottenham is running out, with a summer return to Juventus on the cards.
That’s the view of European football expert Andy Brassell, who has cast a close eye over the Frenchman’s loan stint in north London.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker spent the second-half of last season with the Serie A giants scoring ten goals in 22 matches.
That prompted Juve to explore a summer move for the star which failed to materialise late in the transfer window.
That allowed Spurs to swoop in and secure the 27-year-old on a season-long loan deal.
Kolo Muani’s Tottenham struggles
However, Kolo Muani’s time at the club has mirrored Tottenham’s dismal campaign with just four goals in 32 appearances and just one goal coming in the Premier League.
His other three strikes have come in the Champions League and, ironically, against former club Eintracht Frankfurt and parent club PSG.
Only two Tottenham players have netted more than three goals in their first Champions League campaign as a Spurs player with Gareth Bale and Peter Crouch both scoring four in the 2010/11 season.
But despite his marginally better output in Europe where Tottenham have experienced most of their joy this season, the Frenchman has yet to win over the Spurs faithful.
And so much so that some fans have rated the striker as worse than former forward Timo Werner.
A report from one fan site referred to Kolo Muani as a flop and while Werner didn’t exactly pull up any trees in north London, it claims that the German provides more of what Tottenham need right now than the 31-capped France international.
But that is not how Brassell sees things and although he admits the striker has not lived up to expectations, he believes that Kolo Muani would provide a solid addition to the majority of Premier League clubs.

“He has not been great so far, I think that is fair to say. But I think it is very hard to judge him on the Tottenham experience,” Brassell told talkSPORT’s Trans Europe Express.
“I watch a fair bit of Tottenham in the flesh and the reality is pretty much everyone in that squad is so short of producing what they are actually able to produce.
“I think the extenuating circumstances for Kolo Muani and the fact that he thought he was going to Juventus for most of the summer really affected his training and pre-season preparations.
“He turned up looking not match fit and quite a long way from it. And then he comes into a team with no confidence and he is expected to pull them up by the bootstraps.
“So that is difficult for him just as it has been difficult for Xavi Simons. Another player who has excelled in the Bundesliga.”
Ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League round-of-16 second leg against Atletico Madrid, Brassell believes Kolo Muani can prove to be a key player for Spurs as they bid to turn round a 5-2 deficit.

Still time to excel
“These are the situations in which Xavi Simons, Randal Kolo Muani can really, really excel,” he added.
“Kolo Muani is someone who would be good for, honestly, probably about 17 or 18 out of the Premier League clubs.
“He is that good. I really do believe in him. But at the moment, Spurs fans are really quite angry. Understandably so. The only impression they have got of the players who have just arrived are his failures, really, so far.
“I think it’s a really good question what happens to him next season. I would not be surprised to see him back at Juventus because he did great there. They really liked him and he really liked them. It has been difficult at Spurs so far.
“I think probably the words root and branch are coming out in the quite near future here.
“But look, I think we saw from the way they excelled in the Europa League, despite the fact that things were already going badly wrong in the Premier League and there were signs of what has come this season in that league campaign last season.
“We know that they can treat Europe as completely separate from that and excel and progress.”
