Motherwell vs HJK Helsinki: Bet £20 and get £50 in free bets with SBK
Motherwell are back in European action on Thursday night as they welcome Finnish side HJK Helsinki to Fir Park for the second leg of their Conference League third qualifying round clash, the score locked at 1-1 after last week’s first leg.
The Scottish side were in front in Helsinki with 20 minutes to go following Tawanda Maswanhise’s second half penalty, but Teemu Pukki’s equaliser ensured the two teams head to North Lanarkshire with nothing to separate them.
SBK and talkSPORT have partnered up to offer an EXCLUSIVE new sign up offer for new customers, offering £50 in free bets to those who place a £20 bet on any of the new season’s action with SBK, an offer which can be claimed by following this link*.

Motherwell have made an unbeaten start to their season in all competitions, five games into the new season and will be quietly content with the opening to the campaign that they have made so far.
Alfred Johansson won his first three matches in charge of the side following his appointment following the departure of Jens Berthel Askou at the end of last season, and has since drawn in his last two, including the first leg of Thursday’s Conference League clash.
The Well’s season started in July with a 5-0 aggregate victory over HB Torshavn from the Faroe Islands, and have started their domestic campaign with four points from two matches in the Scottish Premiership, their goalless draw with Falkirk on Sunday leaving them sat third in the league table.
This year marks the club’s first in Europe in four years, and victory over their Finnish counterparts on Thursday night would leave them just two matches away from a first appearance in the competition proper of a European campaign in 18 years, when they reached the first round of the UEFA Cup back in 2008.
Motherwell’s opponents are actually more than half way through their season due to the Finnish league playing through the summer.
HJK Helsinki make their trip to Scotland having lost just one of their last seven matches in all competitions, of which they’ve won five, their good form having propelled them into third place in the Veikkausliiga table.
Thursday’s match will actually be Joonas Rantanen’s side’s second trip to a Celtic nation in the space of a fortnight having thrashed Northern Irish side Coleraine 8-0 on aggregate in the last round of Conference League qualifying.
The record Finnish champions, who finished fifth in the league last season, have competed in Europe in 17 of the last 18 seasons, reaching the group phase/league stage on four occasions in that time, most recently qualifying for the Conference League league phase in 2024.
HJK are winless in their last five matches against Scottish opposition, while Motherwell were eliminated when they last came up against a team from Finland, exiting the UEFA Cup in 1995 on away goals
Don’t forget to make use of talkSPORT’s EXCLUSIVE sign up offer with SBK, where new customer can get £50 in free bets when they bet £20 on the new season.
