Mohamed Salah scores dramatic winner for Egypt at Africa Cup of Nations – but appears to injure teammate in celebrations
Mohamed Salah opened his Africa Cup of Nations campaign with an injury-time winner for Egypt against Zimbabwe.
However, the Liverpool forward appeared to inadvertently injure one of his teammates just as he began to celebrate.

Prince Dube handed Zimbabwe a shock lead during the first half of their Group B clash in Morocco.
Manchester City star Omar Marmoush brought Egypt level moments after the hour-mark with a powerful effort into the roof of the net.
It looked as though the two sides would settle for a draw, but Salah delivered a moment of quality to spark wild scenes for his country.
He used his chest to control the ball and then fired home into the bottom right corner past goalkeeper Washington Arubi, despite being off-balance.
Salah swiftly got back onto his feet after falling to the turf, but was in the way of one of his compatriots.
Mostafa Mohamed ran towards the goal and tried to jump over the match-winner, only to fall to the floor following the collision.
The Nantes striker was then seen rolling in apparent pain whilst some of his teammates joined Salah in the celebrations.
Egypt managed to see out the result after their dramatic turnaround that has opened their tournament with a huge win.
Salah scores amid Liverpool drama
It’s been a little over two weeks since Salah’s bombshell interview in which he said Liverpool had thrown him under the bus.
The 33-year-old was not part of the squad that beat Inter Milan in the Champions League following his comments.

Salah returned to the side for their 2-0 Premier League win against Brighton, but is now on international duty for the coming weeks.
His future at Anfield is uncertain amid the recent interview, and with the transfer window just around the corner.
However, talkSPORT understands that Salah is expected to stay at Liverpool beyond January amid the injury to Alexander Isak.
Isak has undergone surgery on an ankle injury and fibula fracture he suffered in their 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The striker looks set for months on the sidelines, so Liverpool are now extremely unlikely to sanction an exit for Salah.
talkSPORT understands that multiple clubs in the Saudi Pro League have been looking to try and sign him next month.

Who do Egypt play next at AFCON?
Egypt are up against South Africa in their next Group B match on Boxing Day.
A win could all but seal their qualification for the knockout stages before their third fixture against Angola three days later.
Salah is playing in his fifth Africa Cup of Nations tournament for Egypt in his quest to lift the trophy for the first time.
He has finished as a runner-up on two occasions in 2017 and 2021.
