Manchester United Women hilariously mock viral fan with brutal goal celebration
Maya Le Tissier and Elisabeth Terland teased viral Man United fan, the United Strand, as they celebrated a goal in the Champions League.
Frank Ilett, who has vowed not to cut his hair until United win five games in a row, was denied a haircut earlier this week.

After four consecutive victories, Ilett needed the Red Devils to win against West Ham on Tuesday, but a 1-1 draw denied it.
Ilett, who is also known as ‘The United Strand’, streamed his reaction to the game against the Hammers, and was clearly gutted.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the Man United women’s team jumped onto the banter surrounding his haircut challenge.
United women beat Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Thursday night, scoring three goals past them.
Elisabeth Terland, Melvine Malard and Julia Zigotti Olme were all able to put their name on the score sheet.
When Terland opened up the scoring in the first three minutes in Madrid, she and Le Tissier used the opportunity to jokingly mock the super fan as they pretended to cut their hair.
It marked six consecutive wins in Europe for the team from Manchester, smashing the streak Ilett needs the men to reach, putting them in a comfortable position ahead of the second leg.
They also look competitive in the Women’s Super League this season, sitting second and are also through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Comparing the women’s side streak to Man United, the last time they won five games in a row was at the start of 2024 under Erik ten Hag.
They are currently sitting fourth in the Premier League, have already been knocked out of both club competitions and are not competing in any European football this season.

The United Strand’s challenge
Ilett, aka The United Strand, has gained more than 2.3 million followers across social media and has had more than 100,00 people watching live at one given time.
He told the BBC exactly one year into his challenge: “I just want to bring some joy to other Manchester United fans in this kind of weird time at the club.
“I thought it would be over in three or four months. It was meant to be a laugh, and then that would be it. But it hasn’t quite worked out like that.
“I started this thinking it was just a dip in form, especially as United had won the FA Cup in May. I didn’t realise it could actually get worse and carry on for so long.
“My hair is a visual representation that Man Utd aren’t in the place they should be, so I understand why that club haven’t been in contact.
“But hopefully as it goes on and we get a bit more positive vibes around the club, they’ll be in contact.”

Rivals join in with banter
Man United women were not the only team to imitate the influencer.
After breaking the streak of victories, West Ham posted a TikTok video which started with Tomas Soucek‘s opening goal.
It then included an edited voice clip of The United Strand, saying: “Day 1000 of not cutting my hair until Man United win five games in a row…”
The video then cuts to multiple clips of West Ham players having their hair cut.
Players featured included ex-United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Callum Wilson, new signing Valentin Castellanos and more.
The TikTok has received 2.2 million likes and 17 million views.
