LIV Mexico City betting tips and predictions: Can Hatton build on Masters performance?
The LIV Tour kicks back into gear this week in Mexico with many of the big names licking their wounds after poor performances at The Masters.
Tyrrell Hatton finished third at the first Major of the year but Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and Sergio Garcia were all among those who had weeks to forget at Augusta.
The Club de Golf Chapultepec lies in wait this week, but the high altitude should shorten the Naucalpan track, with the players going off in a shotgun start on Thursday.

LIV Mexico City betting tips
Hatton can build upon fine Masters
While Rahm and DeChambeau will have done a lot of soul searching following their poor showing, Hatton should be on top of the world and he looks in a great place to get himself in the LIV winners’ circle for the first time since he triumphed in Nashville in June 2024.
A third in Adelaide and a 10th spot in Singapore have been his best performances on the breakaway circuit this year, but his Augusta exploits took him to another level and this looks like a course that will suit him.
He certainly has good prior experience at Chapultepec, even though his most recent course performance came during the 2020 WGC-Mexico Championship.
Hatton was sixth on that occasion and had finishes of 10th, third and 19th in full-field events before then, so there could be no better environment for him to build upon last week’s showing.
Burmester is in the groove
Dean Burmester has been one of the most consistent performers on the LIV circuit this year and this week could be the time he finally converts strong showings into a victory.
It is eight years since he last played at Chapultepec, when he finished 30th in the Mexico Championship. He finished with an impressive round of 65, and he should be full of beans.
The South African got off to a poor start in 2026 when he was 51st in Riyadh, but it has been a story of consistency since.
He was sixth in Adelaide, seventh in Hong Kong, 10th in Singapore and sixth last time out on home turf.
He knows what it takes to come out on top in a LIV tournament, having tasted glory in Chicago in August, and he looks capable of experiencing that joy once again down Mexico way.
Ancer may prove a factor
Don’t rule out the shorter hitters this week as the high altitude is set to be a leveller and that looks good news for Abraham Ancer, who would love to perform well in front of his home crowd.
He has a best Chapultepec performance of 12th at the 2020 Mexico Championship and heads into this week having finished third in South Africa when only Rahm and DeChambeau proved too strong for him at Steyn City.
Ancer was also fourth in the opening event in Saudi Arabia and he can be expected to go well on home turf.
