Laura Woods fumes at ‘most disrespectful thing’ she’s ever heard about Arsenal
TV presenter Laura Woods phoned in to talkSPORT to take aim at ex-Premier League manager Alan Pardew for his comments about Arsenal.
Woods was left fuming by Pardew saying that if the Gunners win the Premier League, they will have an asterisk next to their name.

After Mikel Arteta‘s side beat Brighton 1-0 on Wednesday night and Manchester City drew with Nottingham Forest, they extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points.
However, despite the result, ex-Crystal Palace and Newcastle manager Pardew was less than impressed with their performance.
He said on talkSPORT commentary: “When I’m looking at them as my football manager’s head on, they’re so professional. They do every bit of gamesmanship to get it over the line. It’s only a goal, isn’t it?
“And at the moment, it looks like Arsenal are going to see it through. There’ll be an asterisk next to their name because you’ve only got to look at them really in these type of performances and say, it’s just a functional display.
“It’s a professional, functional display. They’re good, they’re strong, they’re powerful. But there is nothing beautiful about them. That’s the truth.”
That take from Pardew has managed to rile up Woods so much that she called in to talkSPORT The Sports Bar post-match.
And after having a laugh about Tottenham with former midfielder Jamie O’Hara, she ranted about the comments.
“Do you know what, Alan, I love you, but that is the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever heard,” Woods said.
“How can you say that? What, because we like to take free-kicks, set pieces and corners? I don’t understand the thought process.”
She added: “It’s mental… if Arsenal win the league, none of us fans, I don’t care how they do it, I don’t care if you lot don’t enjoy watching us, why would we care if we’re entertaining or not?

“I love it, I put my feet up and say whatever happens tonight, I’ll be in a much better mood than Jamie O’Hara, whatever happens!
“When we were playing lovely football, everyone was saying: ‘They’re playing lovely football but can’t win a game’.
“And now we’re winning games in different fashions, different ways, the games evolving and you lot are bored.”
Let’s all laugh at Tottenham
Following her rant about Pardew’s comments, Woods then opted to have a good chuckle about Tottenham’s struggles.
Spurs are now just one point above the relegation zone ahead of their meeting with Crystal Palace this evening.
It means a drop down the Championship looks more possible than ever – and that’s something that Woods is delighted about.

“You won’t go down though, Jamie,” Woods first admitted to O’Hara. “In all honesty, I thought it was a joke earlier in the season, but now it’s actually become a strong reality.”
But she then couldn’t stay serious for long, joking: “You can’t go down, you’re too big a club, your stadium’s too lovely.”
And the TNT Sports presenter went on to burst out laughing with co-host Cundy, saying: “I can’t even do it…I can’t do it, but the good thing is, Adele will be able to play there more often!”
The entire conversation left O’Hara with his head in his hands and in disbelief at his former club’s situation at the moment.
He even posted on social media after the show to call out Woods for popping up on the Sports Bar just to laugh at him.
O’Hara wrote on X: “Getting mocked by Woodsy on Talksport absolute disgrace, ain’t spoke to me for two years.”

Woods’ Sports Bar promise
Woods, a former talkSPORT host, was then asked if she’d return if Arsenal win the league and Spurs get relegated.
To which, she responded quickly: “I’ll move into the Sports Bar, I’ll move into your house, Jamie.
“I’ll come and be a guest every day for the next season if you want me to be, I’d love it.”
But if things don’t turn out like that, she won’t be making a comeback to the station any time soon…
“If we do bottle it… I’ll be moving to a different country,” she laughed.
