The Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar a littler longer.

Or, a lot longer, depending on your point of view.

According to an announcement on Thursday evening, a ten-year extension of the Las Vegas Grand Prix has been signed, keeping the race on the F1 schedule through the 2037 season.

In the announcement, F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali stated that the extension “reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market.”

“We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come,” said Domenicali. “Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers. It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community.

“We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market. I would like to thank Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the LVCVA [Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority] for their continued support, passion and vision. The future is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to taking this event to even greater heights.”

The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix got off to a rocky start, when Carlos Sainz Jr. struck a manhole cover during the first practice session, but since then the race has become a mainstay on the F1 schedule.

The news comes a year after F1 announced a similar extension for the Miami Grand Prix. At the 2025 installment of that race, F1 announced a ten-year extension for the Miami Grand Prix, keeping that race on the schedule through 2041.

There are currently three races in the United States on the F1 calendar: Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas. At the 2025 United States Grand Prix in Austin, F1 announced an extension of that race to keep it on the calendar through at least 2034.
