Lamine Yamal victim of attempted robbery hours after Spain beat France at World Cup
Thieves tried to break into Lamine Yamal’s Barcelona home just hours after Spain’s World Cup win over France.
Two men were spotted perched on a wall outside of the wing-wizard’s mansion back in Spain.

And before they could make an attempt to steal goods inside, they were chased off by Yamal’s private security having been picked up by security cameras.
Catalan police have since opened proceedings after emergency protocols were activated by on-site security.
Barcelona stars have been targeted by opportunistic robbers this year, with compatriots Pau Cubarsi and Joan Garcia both burglary victims.
Cubarsi had a watch stolen from his property, while Garcia had cash and jewellery nabbed by intruders.
Both players are with Yamal in North America for the summer showpiece, and will likely have stepped up security around their respective properties in order to avoid a repeat of their 2026 ordeal.
How has Yamal fared at the World Cup?
Yamal came into the 2026 summer showpiece suffering with a hamstring injury he sustained in April.
It was initially touch and go whether he would be fit to feature for the Euro 2024 winners.
However, the teenager won the race to make it into Luis de la Fuente’s squad, though he was used as a second-half substitute in Spain’s opening World Cup 0-0 draw with Cape Verde.
The 19-year-old has started the subsequent six World Cup matches, netting once in that time.

Yamal won a first-half penalty during Tuesday’s 2-0 win over France as Spain booked a World Cup final spot.
Real Sociedad hitman Mikel Oyarzabal fired La Roja ahead from 12 yards before Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro doubled Spain’s advantage just before hour mark.
Spain are hoping to win the World Cup for just the second time in their history and face the winner of England’s semi-final clash with Argentina in Sunday’s final.
The Three Lions resume their rivalry with the South American powerhouse in Atlanta on Wednesday.
It’ll mark the first time England and Argentina lock horns in competitive competition since the 2002 World Cup, where David Beckham’s first-half penalty was enough to separate the two sides.
