Kristian Prenga offered fight with another British heavyweight after Anthony Joshua KO loss
Kristian Prenga could fight British opposition again with Dave Allen suggesting he’d fight the Albanian.
Unbeaten Prenga got his big step-up against British boxing superstar Anthony Joshua for his comeback fight in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He threatened to score a historic upset, dropping Joshua twice in a mind-blowing opening period which would have seen him change his life forever.
But Joshua regrouped at the end of the round and flattened Prenga in the subsequent second stanza with a brutal combination to win.
Prenga will no doubt rue a missed opportunity to take out one of the sport’s biggest names, and make seismic waves for his profile.
However, his stocks have certainly risen since the fight, and he will likely look to push on his career.
And another fan-favourite Briton Allen has suggested he’d be open to meeting Prenga next.
He said on his TikTok account: “I would be very happy to box Carty and, with a win, I’ll box Prenga, yeah. Carty, then Prenga. What about that?”
Allen is far lesser opposition than Joshua on paper, and will bring Prenga another chance to try and claim a scalp.
The Doncaster native will first return in a big fight with Irish heavyweight Thomas Carty at Croke Park on Katie Taylor’s undercard in September.
Should he progress, Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn could well look at making the fight.
Prenga was ill before Joshua fight
It was a missed opportunity for Prenga despite having limited expectations on his shoulders.

He had a huge chance at derailing Joshua’s inevitable clash with long-term rival Tyson Fury.
The likes of Simon Jordan had made wild allegations that he deliberately didn’t end the fight, which have been soundly dismissed.
And Prenga’s manager Keith Sullivan in fact believes it was down to illness in camp for the Albanian.
He told talkSPORT: “I’ll tell you what happened, and this is the first time I’m mentioning this, this is the first time anybody from Team Prenga is mentioning this, and we had no intention of ever discussing this.
“But, what happened here was Kristian had gotten very sick leading up to the fight. He didn’t spar or train for two weeks before he got to Jeddah.
“He had a 102 (degrees Fahrenheit) fever and he was in bed for eight days straight. In the first round, he came out and just gassed himself out.

“Kristian stood up off the stool to start when that bell rang for the second round, and he said to me he felt like he was back in that bed that he was in for eight days, when he was gasping for air and had no energy.
“He was stunned with what happened, in an instant. He said it all came right back to him.
“The lack of training, lack of cardio that he wasn’t able to do in the three weeks leading up to it, they caught him right at that moment.
“He let off the gas and gave him that opening, and AJ just did what AJ does when a talented and skilled, high level, very experienced fighter does.”
