Keely Hodgkinson in tears as Team GB star forced to pull out of race moments before start
Keely Hodgkinson was left devastated as she was forced to withdraw from the 400m final at the UK Athletics Championships.
The Olympic champion was moments away from competing in the race when she had to pull out and burst into tears.
She walked off the track whilst cameras were off her and she could be seen crestfallen, standing next to the barriers.
Hodgkinson then kneeled down on the track and wiped her tears away before standing back up and reluctantly walking off.
It is not yet clear what happened to the 24-year-old, although it’s suggested she was experiencing tightness and didn’t want to make the injury worse.
