John Fury screams in angry rant at Carl Froch before leaving Tyson Fury press conference after 10 seconds

John Fury caused a brief moment of chaos at his son Tyson’s press conference before making a swift departure.

Fury Sr travelled to London to attend the launch press conference for his son Tyson Fury’s comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

The two heavy-handed operators had the lights and cameras all on them, with the ‘Gypsy King’ to make his first appearance since losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

But as has been accustomed when the Fury family dynasty are in town, it was Fury’s father who threatened to steal the show.

Upon arrival before a verbal barb was even thrown at the press conference proceedings, Fury Sr lost his cool.

Fury Sr’s wild rant – takes aim at Carl Froch

The head of the Fury family first charged downstairs and into the room where the media were preparing for proceedings.

Cameras were rolling with boxing legends Carl Froch and Lennox Lewis in town to discuss the return of Fury.

But it was at this point the 60-year-old started a huge verbal assault on anyone who stood in his way.

He first shouted in a more friendly tone to Lennox: “You know me Lennox, I’m not a f***ing coward.

“I was going to fight you in your f***ing heyday. Did I back away from you?

“Put some respect on my name, John Fury.”

Lewis agreed to prevent any altercation with mutual respect, before Fury Sr exploded further in a foul-mouthed tirade.

Froch was then positioned on a raised platform, where Fury Sr screamed at him: “Get that f***ing Carl Froch here.

“If he wants it I’m here. If you’re not willing to put up shut up.

“Run like a b***h Carl Froch, run like a b***h.”

His rant continued after he left the room and stage area, but he continued to insult the former world champion.

‘The Cobra’ has history with Fury Sr having heavily criticised his role in his son’s boxing careers.

Froch even threatened to knock Fury Sr unconscious as the pair made fight offers after exchanged words following the latter headbutting a member of team Usyk.

Fury Sr’s swift departure from stage

Once proceedings were indeed begun on stage, Fury Sr initially sat next to his son Tyson.

But he then swiftly rose to his feet, announcing: “Can I stop you there?

“I’ve made my points here. Tyson I love you son. Spencer [Brown] come here, you are his manager.”

Fury Sr gave his son a kiss on the head, before departing after ten seconds, leaving host Josh Denzel stunned.

The boxing veteran had done enough to cause chaos and grab attention, and decided enough was enough.

It was probably wise to avoid a repeat of Fury Sr’s famous launching of a table during his son Tommy’s press conference with KSI in October 2023.
