Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Tale of the Tape: Records, ages, weights and reach compared
Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua are weeks away from going head-to-head at Miami’s Kaseya Center.
The rivals are set to meet in a professionally sanctioned heavyweight clash on December 19 having faced widespread backlash for penning the deal.

They will lace up their 10oz gloves for eight three-minute rounds with the fight being streamed live on Netflix.
Having been sidelined since Daniel Dubois knocked him out in 2024, Joshua is now finally returning to action.
Meanwhile, Paul is out to prove himself as a real contender in the sport as he takes on the former two-time heavyweight champion.
But, how do the two boxers actually compare in terms of weight, reach and record?
Paul vs Joshua: Tale of the Tape
Paul is eight years younger than his opponent and has only been competing since January 2020.
When he made his professional debut, he claimed a first-round stoppage win over Ali Eson Gib.
‘The Problem Child’ racked up a six-fight win streak before losing via split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Joshua had made his debut seven years prior to Paul’s debut, after winning an Olympic gold medal at London 2012.
At the O2 arena in October 2013, ‘AJ’ claimed a first-round stoppage win against Emanuele Leo.

Joshua embarked on a 22-fight streak as an undefeated contender before suffering a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz.
The Briton is the more experienced of the pair, as well as taller and naturally heavier.

Paul vs Joshua: Head-to-head record
Paul and Joshua had verbally agreed to meet in 2026, but after the former’s bout with Gervonta Davis fell through, it was brought forward.
His match-up with ‘AJ’ had drawn in a lot of negative attention due to the disparity between them.
Joshua has a wealth of experience in the ring, having fought the likes of Oleksandr Usyk and Wladimir Klitschko.
Despite that, Paul is vowing to knock Joshua out.
Paul has fought 13 times, securing 12 wins and suffering just one loss to Fury.
While Joshua has contested 32 fights, winning 25 of his 28 outings by way of knockout. He has lost four times, once to both Ruiz and Dubois, and twice to Usyk.

Paul vs Joshua: What has been said?
Paul is confident in his ability, despite Joshua being the first active heavyweight he has faced.
At the launch press conference, he said: “It’s a massive mistake to look past me.
“I’m putting a stop to all those plans – don’t book flights or hotels.
“I’m knocking this guy out, becoming the CEO of Matchroom Boxing, changing the plans, and it’s going to be me against Tyson Fury next year.
“Look what happened the last time they came to America and the plans they had.
“Andy Ruiz stopped that. This is Andy Ruiz 2.0.”

Joshua explained why he took the fight: “Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy,” said Joshua.
“I took some time out, and I’m coming back with a mega show. It’s a big opportunity for me.
“Whether you like it or not, I’m here to do massive numbers, have big fights and break every record whilst keeping cool, calm and collected.
“Mark my words, you’ll see a lot more fighters take these opportunities in the future.
“I’m about to break the internet over Jake Paul’s face.”
