Jake Paul responds to suggestions he will retire from boxing after Anthony Joshua fight
Jake Paul has insisted he has more to give boxing despite being brutally beaten in his step-up against Anthony Joshua.
Paul was looking to make a statement and cause a seismic upset against former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua in Miami.

But the influencer-turned-boxer quickly came up short being battered and dropped four times en route to a crushing victory.
It came at a physical cost as many warned, with ‘El Gallo’ being hospitalised after suffering what was later confirmed to be a double jaw fracture.
Many now felt that Paul would turn his back on the sport after suffering a crushing blow in his biggest test yet.
Although he simply believes it is just the beginning, and is still determined to fulfil his ambitions.
“Yeah, for sure [I want to keep fighting],” he explained.
“We’re going to heal the broken jaw, come back and fight people my weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.
“I’m going to take a little break. I’ve been going hard for six years. I’m going to take some time off.”
Paul later tweeted confirming his plan to return to cruiserweight, adding: “Jaw broken. Heart and balls in tact.
“Time to rest, recover and return to cruiserweight.”
Who could Jake Paul fight in 2026?
There are a number of routes that Paul could take if he is too indeed return to the ring.

Paul could take an outlandish contest against one of boxing’s elite fighters again, having regularly called out Canelo Alvarez.
The 28-year-old has also suggested he wants to fight for a cruiserweight belt, with new champion Noel Mikaelian likely to be the primary target.
He could also explore a second meeting with long-term foe Tommy Fury, who beat him in 2023.
Paul suggested he will only face the Briton again if it is across a 12-round distance.
And he has already claimed Fury rejected a $15 million formal offer.
‘TNT’ responded and named his own terms, writing: “Offering me the fight in America… a place you know I can’t get to right now. Convenient.

“Offer me the same $15million anywhere else in the world and I’ll be there in eight weeks to shut you the f*** up and repeat what I did the first time.
“And ‘daddy’s little boy’? If anyone’s a son here, it’s you… I gave you your first L.”
