Boyle to put Hibs ahead?

Martin Boyle, Jamie McGrath and Kieron Bowie, each scored eight goals for Hibs last year being the joint scorers.

There were plenty of goals split between loads of players last year with no big stand out but of course Bowie scoring eight in just 22 goals was the main one.

But his move to Hellas Verona gives the other two more chances of being amongst the goals again.

Boyle can therefore be seen as a great price to score first.

Hibs to win

Hibernian have a strong record against Motherwell, who are over 2/1 just to win away from home.

They did win this fixture last season in May, 1-0 but there’s only recently been minor victories as well as two low scoring draws in each 2026 clash.

Hibs last beat Motherwell in January 2025 which ended in a 3-1 victory and that could be more of what we see as the first games back in the new seasons can always be surprising with teams still discovering and sorting out teething issues.
