Grand National 2026 LIVE: I Am Maximus regains crown to emulate Red Rum for Willie Mullins under Paul Townend
The 2026 Grand National lived up to the billing as the biggest race in the world as favourite I Am Maximus became the first horse since Red Rum to regain his crown.
Trainer Willie Mullins became the joint-leading trainer scooping his fourth Grand National while jockey Paul Townend won his second on board the ten-year-old.
Owner JP McManus also made history to become the leading owner of the race with four victories since 2010 and even landed the 1-2 with Iroko placing second.
