Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao set for stunning Netflix rematch at $2.3billion venue
Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 2 will go down on September 19, live on Netflix.
The rematch of the most lucrative boxing fight in the sport’s history is set to take place at Las Vegas‘ Sphere, a $2.3billion 18,000 capacity arena that hosted UFC 306 in 2024.

Mayweather and Pacquiao threw down in the ‘Fight of the Century’ in 2015, and the clash remains the highest-selling boxing pay-per-view of all time, behind the former’s 2017 bout with Conor McGregor.
In October, Pacquiao confirmed talks were taking place with Mayweather over a rematch this year, and the deal has now been finalised.
The fight, promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions in partnership with CSI Sports/Fight Sports, will be a professionally sanctioned contest, meaning Mayweather’s perfect 50-0 record is on the line.
It is being organised and produced by EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire and Limitless X Holdings.
Floyd Mayweather promises ‘same result’ in Manny Pacquiao rematch
“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” Pacquiao said.
“The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix.
“I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.
“As always, I dedicate this fight to my fellow Filipinos around the world and to bringing glory to the Philippines.”
Mayweather added: “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”
His first fight with Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden Arena generated a whopping 4.6million buys, with a record gate of $72.2million.

‘Money’ lived up to his nickname through the clash, reportedly making around $250m while Pacquiao earned up to $150m.
The rematch will be the first-ever professional boxing match to take place at Sphere in Las Vegas.
Netflix continues its journey in the combat sports world, having also this month announced it will show Ronda Rousey’s grand return to MMA against Gina Carano on May 16.
The streaming giant has already hosted four boxing fights (Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua, Paul vs Mike Tyson, Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 and Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford).
Netflix has also brought Tyson Fury out of retirement, with ‘The Gypsy King’ facing Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 on the streaming platform, before Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2.
A rematch 11 years in the making
However, both men are expected to fight this spring in exhibition bouts before coming to blows.
Pacquiao is set to square off with Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18, while Mayweather is expected to meet Mike Tyson in Africa the following weekend.
‘PacMan’ sent shockwaves through the boxing world when he fought WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios to a draw last July.
The 47-year-old had verbally agreed to a rematch with Barrios, who lost his belt to Ryan Garcia this past weekend, before his camp pivoted to talks with WBA welterweight champion Rolly Romero and eventually decided on Provodnikov.
Pacquiao contested seven professional bouts between 2016 and 2021 after he fought Mayweather.

It looked to be all but over for the Filipino fighting legend when he was soundly beaten by Yordenis Ugas on points in August 2021, until his sensational comeback performance against Barrios.
Mayweather, on the other hand, fought just twice professionally after his win over Pacquiao, defeating Andre Berto four months later to extend his record to 49-0.
‘Money’ then made it 50 fights undefeated as a pro when he stopped former UFC two-division champion McGregor in their mega 2017 bout.
Like Pacquiao, Mayweather has since contested a series of exhibition fights against the likes of Logan Paul, KSI‘s brother Deji and Aaron Chalmers.
Earlier this month, Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger reported that Mayweather’s clash with fellow American boxing legend Tyson was ‘tentatively set’ to take place in the Congo on April 25.
