Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois LIVE: Time, full fight card and how to follow heavyweight title clash

Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois meet in a titanic all-British tussle this weekend and world title glory will be on the line.

It is a huge moment in the career for both heavy-handed operators, with Wardley to make a first defence of his WBO world heavyweight title.

The pair are both in their physical primes and it promises to be an enthralling encounter with high stakes for the native compatriots.

For Wardley, victory will keep him firmly in the mind of Oleksandr Usyk, whom he could chase to try to unify the heavyweight division with victory.

Meanwhile, Dubois himself lost his world title to the Ukrainian last time out, but is keen for redemption in an immediate test.

The showdown will have a huge impact on the heavyweight landscape, with the winner setting up a series of fights with the biggest names.

As for the loser, it could be a sharp fall away from the title mix.

Although a fight of this magnitude, a true 50/50 meeting which promises to carry barnstorming action, could raise the stocks of both on fight night.

Wardley vs Dubois: What has been said?

Wardley believes Dubois could be lacking creativity in his punch output, which he sees as his huge advantage.

“For me personally, the way I feel with Daniel, his punches aren’t particularly sharp or unexpected,” he explained on talkSPORT.

“His shots are loaded and not particularly unexpected, that’s not to take away from his power.

“If they hit you, they will hurt, but they aren’t clean and crisp and don’t come out of nowhere.

“You know what punches are coming; just because you are big and strong, it doesn’t mean you are knocking people out.

“In boxing, it’s the punches you don’t see, and in that area, I think he is lacking.

“It’s going to be all-out fireworks and all-out action.

“My name and reputation, you look at the fight poster with me on and know it will be a scrap.

“It will almost definitely be a good fight. It is an entertainment sport, and I believe I’m up there.

“There’s only one outcome for this fight. I know he can be dangerous throughout, but there’s no stage of it I’m worried about.”

Speaking to talkSPORT.com, Manchester’s own Bradley Rea, who fights Liam Cameron on the card, explained how he hopes to steal the show on Saturday.

“I want everyone to be leaving that arena speaking about me,” Rea said.

“It’s a tough task when you’re in the mix with these lads, but that’s the impression that I want.

“For Liam and me, stylistically, it’s probably the best match-up. It’s probably the most fun and entertaining match-up you’re going to get.

“And it’s only going to go one way. At some point, this fight is going to catch fire — I’m very excited.”
