Eagles’ trade up with Cowboys another sign AJ Brown is gone

The Philadelphia Eagles made a trade during the 2026 NFL Draft with the Dallas Cowboys. After moving up to No. 20 overall, the front office used the selection on a wide receiver, which is another sign that AJ Brown is pretty much out the door.

Reports indicate that the Eagles dealt picks 23, 114, and 137 to the Cowboys in exchange for pick 20 and a seventh-round selection, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. A risky move considering Dallas is an NFC East rival, but the club seemingly felt it was necessary.

Eagles get 20 and a seventh,” reported Garafolo. “Cowboys get 23, 114, 137.”

The Eagles used pick No. 20 to select wide receiver Makai Lemon, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Schefter claimed that adding Lemon to the roster gives Philadelphia a stronger wide receiver room in preparation for moving on from AJ Brown. The popular NFL insider stated that Brown is expected to be traded to the New England Patriots in June.

“By trading up to draft USC WR Makai Lemon, the Eagles land more insurance for June’s expected AJ Brown trade to New England,” reported Schefter.

This story is currently developing, and more information will be published soon.
