Draymond Green issues response after storming out of Warriors game following heated exchange with Steve Kerr
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and star Draymond Green had a heated exchange on Monday night.
The confrontation occurred in the third quarter during a timeout and resulted in Green walking off into the locker room, missing the remainder of the Warriors‘ eventual 120-97 win over the Orlando Magic.

Video footage of their apparent argument surfaced online, and the pair looked visibly frustrated with each other as they went back and forth in front of their fellow players and coaches.
Golden State were trailing 71-66 when the argument happened, and Green had committed a turnover.
The four-time NBA champion, whose future has been questioned amid the Warriors’ links to Giannis Antetokounmpo, had also just argued with an official.
Kerr explained his team were unfocused, and since it was Green who had essentially caused the timeout, might explain why an argument then occurred.
“We had it out a little bit,” Kerr told reporters about him and Green’s exchange.
“He made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off. That’s all I’m going to say about it. Everything is private.”
Moses Moody and other coaches were trying to calm Green down during the spat, but the forward eventually just stood up and walked down the tunnel.
“Tempers spilled over, and I thought it was best that I get out of there,” Green said afterwards.
“I don’t think it was a situation where it was going to get better. It was best to remove myself.
“We’ve been at this now for a long time. Sometimes you’re with people for a long time and there’s a level of comfort and s***happens. We move forward.”

Green did not come back out onto the court for the rest of the third quarter.
He did return to the bench for the fourth quarter but remained in his warm-up gear, as Kerr explained that he was never going to send Green back into the game.
“He wasn’t going back in. No. He left. He went back to the locker room. We moved forward, and the guys played great,” Kerr added.
While Kerr won’t admit it, the Warriors did play better without their veteran.
They quickly took the lead by the end of the third quarter, thanks to Steph Curry, who made six out of six shots, finishing with 26 points and demonstrating why he is still considered a current top 10 player in the league.
Green finishes game prematurely again, fans want repetitions
This is the second straight game that Green has had his night unwillingly ended early.

He was ejected after just eight minutes on Saturday during the Warriors’ 119-166 win over the Phoenix Suns.
And after fans witnessed another meltdown, the reaction online hasn’t been positive towards Green, whose contract ends in 2026.
“When they gonna trade his outspoken A.. lol,” one fan wrote
“Will the Warriors finally cut ties with this guy?” another fan said.
“Draymond Green you are now a member of the Utah Jazz,” a third wrote.
“Should have traded him two years ago,” another posted.
There’s no time to rest for the Warriors, who play the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day.
