Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora exact date revealed with surprise promoter to stage fight
Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora are inching closer to completing a deal for a spring showdown.
If both men sign on the dotted line, then Kalle and Nisse Sauerland will reportedly stage the heavyweight clash, rather than Queensberry Promotions, as was initially expected.

Chisora had linked up with Frank Warren‘s promotional outfit to guide him through the final stretch of his career.
But on Thursday, he informed talkSPORT that his contract had expired.
“I’m not [with Queensberry] anymore,” Chisora said.
“The contract I had with Queensberry expired two months after my fight with Otto Wallin.”
This has brought the Sauerland brothers into play, who are best known for launching the World Boxing Super Series tournament and, more recently, for their involvement in Misfits Boxing.
When will the fight happen?
According to BoxingScene, Wilder vs Chisora will take place on April 4 at a London venue.
Both parties remain hopeful that negotiations will be finalised soon, with the week commencing February 2 earmarked for when the fight will be officially announced.
The bout had been in play for December, but they couldn’t agree upon terms.
“The reason why we didn’t fight in December is I didn’t get a good contract, so I didn’t fight in December,” Chisora added.
“So right now I’m just waiting on getting a good contract, a good number, and I’ll fight.”

Wilder subsequently entered into discussions with Oleksandr Usyk, before circling back around to Chisora.
‘Del Boy’ is being mooted as a tune-up opponent ahead of a blockbuster showdown with Usyk later in the year.
It’s a risky move considering Wilder’s recent poor form.
While Chisora is riding a three-fight winning streak, Wilder has lost four of his last six.
And although he returned to winning ways against journeyman boxer Tyrrell Herndon in June, he looked like a shadow of his former self.
“I train to my ability, knowing that the guy in front of me, for him to win the fight, he has to knock me out, like proper lights out,” Chisora continued.

“So if he can’t do that in Round ten or 12, I’m going to eat him up.
“That’s how I train… I like to fight, I like pain, I like everything.
“So if the fight does happen, let me explain something to you fellas, Deontay’s going to get laid out.”
