Delighted Shane Lowry bursts into laughter after incredible hole-in-one
Shane Lowry produced a moment of magic on the final day of the Houston Open with a stunning hole-in-one.
The Irishman clinched his fourth PGA Tour ace on the par three second hole at Memorial Park on Sunday.

Lowry’s heroics on the 170-hard hole saw him move to seven-under par for the week, a score he finished on at the end of the final round.
His heroics appeared to leave him in shock, though, as he burst out laughing after realising his tee shot had found the hole.
After high-fiving playing partners Takumi Kanaya and Chris Kirk, Lowry could be seen smiling as he laughed it off with his caddie.
Meanwhile, the commentators were equally stunned by the breath-taking moment.
Reacting to the hole-in-one, one commentator said: “He did it! Shane Lowry with another ace. Where will he make one next on the PGA Tour?”
Lowry’s ace in Texas is the fourth of his career to come on the PGA Tour.
The 38-year-old first achieved the feat at the Masters back in 2016.
He has since done so at TPC Sawgrass in 2022 and at Pebble Beach last year.
However, Lowry is still waiting to end his four-year wait for a solo event win.
Although he has already had two top ten finishes on the PGA Tour this year, he has not tasted individual glory since the 2022 BMW PGA Championship.

His wait was extended in January after an agonising collapse on the final hole at the Dubai Invitational.
Lowry, who sank the winning putt for Team Europe at the 2025 Ryder Cup, lost the lead on the 18th after finding the water from a bunker.
The world No.32 will not be on the podium at the Houston Open this weekend, either.
Despite his hole-in-one, Lowry finished on -7, some 15 behind leader Gary Woodland who is on -22 after the 13th hole.
Lowry’s ace had seen the former Open champion move to seven-under for the week and two-under for his final round, though.
However, a bogey on the par-four fourth hole saw him drop a shot further back before a birdie on the 13th cancelled it out.

Meanwhile, Woodland began his final round in the last group to tee off alongside Nicolai Hojgaard and Min Woo Lee.
The 2019 US Open champion has not won on the PGA Tour since his victory at Pebble Beach seven years ago.
