De’Aaron Fox hard foul on Deni Avdija draws boos in Spurs-Blazers Game 5
Deni Deni Avdija and the Portland Trail Blazers entered Game 5 of their first-round series in the 2026 NBA Playoffs against the San Antonio Spurs looking to extend their season. Down 3-1 in the series, Portland knew it needed a big game from Avdija to see another game.
Amid the fourth quarter of the contest, Avdija tried to make things happen, as he attacked the rim, looking to trim the Spurs’ big lead. However, he was sent crashing to the floor after getting bumped by San Antonio guard De’Aaron Fox.
Avdija took exception to Fox’s foul as he bounced right up and charged at the San Antonio star. His teammates got in between and prevented things from escalating. Meanwhile, Spurs fans in the building booed Avdija hard as he went to Portland’s bench.
