Aubrey recently addressed the brutal reality of his position, admitting that despite the life-changing money, teams can still “eat dead money” and move on if a player becomes a hindrance to the team’s success. “It’s always one kick at a time,” Aubrey said regarding his new contract via Jon Machota of the Athletic. “I just wanted to find my way on a roster and cling onto that position as long as possible.”

After a stint in Major League Soccer and a dominant run in the USFL, he joined the Cowboys and immediately set the league on fire. He has since maintained that elite level of production, proving his leg is one of the most valuable weapons in the NFL.
