Chris Eubank Jr offered world title shot by KO artist after organisation gives green light
WBC super-middleweight champion Christian Mbilli has welcomed a fight with Chris Eubank Jr, after the organisation’s president Mauricio Sulaiman gave the fight his blessing.
Eubank Jr is set to continue competing after suffering a crushing loss to Conor Benn at middleweight in November.

‘Next Gen’ looked like a shadow of his former self as he was decked twice en route to a dominant unanimous decision defeat.
His lacklustre performance led to calls for Eubank Jr to hang up his gloves.
However, his promoter, Ben Shalom, insists that the 36-year-old intends to jump back up to super middleweight to have one last roll of the dice.
And when he does, Mbilli will be waiting for him with open arms.
“Of course! See, that’s what I’m talking about,” Mbilli told World Boxing News when asked whether he would entertain the matchup.
“Eubank, it would be a big fight. It would also be a fan-friendly fight.
“And I would love to represent Cameroon, France, and Quebec, Canada across the world.”
WBC open to making the fight
Mbilli’s comments come after Sulaiman green-lighted the bout.
“Absolutely [he can fight for a world title],” Sulaiman said of Eubank Jr during an interview with Sky Sports.
“Chris Eubank is a tremendous fighter. I believe he sacrificed too much with the weight, and he’s a natural fighter for that division. Great potential.

“He’s a world-class fighter without a doubt. We’re going to address the situation in the following weeks to see what is coming up for Mbilli and the division.
“Of course, Canelo, [Jaime] Munguia, Lester Martinez, Luka Plantic.
“There are so many fighters who can make great fights for the champion, Mbilli.”
Mbilli was upgraded from interim to full WBC super middleweight champion last month.
The WBC initially attempted to order the Cameroonian-French Canadian to box Hamzah Sheeraz for the vacant world title.
But when the Brit turned down the opportunity, Mbilli was named as Terence Crawford‘s successor.

Mbilli remains undefeated as a professional at 29-0-1 and has knocked out 24 of his opponents.
He was last in action in September when he was held to a draw by Lester Martinez on the Canelo Alvarez vs Crawford undercard in Las Vegas.
