In contrast, Chelsea’s west London rivals Brentford head into the weekend in outstanding form, winning five of their last six matches, drawing the other, including coming out on top in each of their last three games as they look to return from Stamford Bridge with all three points.

Keith Andrews’ side’s sublime run of results has seen them climb into the top five in the Premier League table, currently only two points shy of Liverpool in the final Champions League qualifying position.

Much of the Bees’ time spent in the bottom half of the table for the majority of the season has been their dire record away from home, losing seven of their opening eight matches on the road in the league.
