“BIG NEWS! I wrote a picture book
Illustrated by @adriillustration,” Clark said in her social media post.
According to Penguin’s website, the age range for the book is four to eight years old, but is said to be a book that can be read by all ages. The synopsis details an inspirational story that emphasizes the importance of family.
“EXTRAordinary is a heartwarming reminder to cherish the ones we love. Our friends, family, teammates, and neighbors help us believe in ourselves, and if we treasure the moments with them, our lives, too, will be wonderfully EXTRA.”
The news of her new book will be well received by WNBA fans, but Fever fans in particular are looking for updates on Clark’s return to the lineup. Clark didn’t play in the Fever’s most recent game against the Portland Fire, which the team won convincingly, 90-73.
But as the Fever gear up to play the Golden State Valkyries, Caitlin Clark is listed as probable. Fever coach Stephanie White indicated in comments obtained by ESPN that she was dealing with back issues.
“Her back is sore. If there’s anything more detailed than that, that’s [for] the training staff [to address].”
Last week, Clark also chimed in on how she’s been feeling returning form the injury to start the season.
“That moment where my back tightened up, I think I almost got confidence from that because I came back in and I played eight more minutes, so I felt great,” Clark said last week. “It’s something I can take confidence from. But it’s going to take me a little bit to really get over the mental hurdle of trusting my body.”
