Bruno Fernandes on the verge of breaking 24-year-old Ryan Giggs Man United record
Bruno Fernandes is close to surpassing a staggering Ryan Giggs record as his strong Man United form continues.
The Portuguese midfielder is having a phenomenal season which could see him break records.

Manchester United have had an unsettled year, with manager Ruben Amorim being sacked mid-season.
Additionally, Fernandes felt at the beginning of the season that the club wanted him to leave.
In December, he claimed that the board were happy to sell him to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
However, now with Michael Carrick at the helm, the club have been on an upwards trajectory and have won 13 points out of their last five games.
One player who is making a key difference in United’s setup, especially on the road, is Fernandes who has been involved in ten goals in his last nine away Premier League appearances.
He has contributed two goals and eight assists, and most notably has made the difference in big games like at the Emirates against Arsenal.
The 31-year-old has been quick to compliment the interim manager about his effect on the team since taking charge.
He said: “I think Michael came in with right ideas of giving the players the responsibility but some freedom to take the responsibility off them on the pitch.
“These were decisions that were needed, he’s very good with his words. I remember the last time he was our manager.
I was sure that Michael could be a great manager and he’s just shown it, and we hope we can help him even more.

We want to show we are good players, that’s why we are at Man United but also the staff is doing very good.”
Fernandes has set up 12 goals this season, with eight of them being made when his team are the visiting side, which is a feat that’s not been made by a United player since Ryan Giggs in 2001-02.
The record-breaking season for the Welshman was when he celebrated his 10-year anniversary at Old Trafford.
Although, the Red Devils suffered in the same season with the team losing out on the league and knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals where they faced Bayer Leverkusen.
Giggs impressively got a brace of assists away from home against Bolton and Chelsea in that Premier League campaign.
Fernandes has surged into the Premier League’s all-time top 25 for overall assists, currently on 63.

While the ex-Manchester United captain sits top of the leaderboard with 162 assist in England’s top division, exactly 43 more than City rival Kevin De Bruyne.
The most assists Gigg’s made in a single season was 12, with Fernandes looking to break that tally tonight.
Remarkably, the midfielder is also projected to beat David Beckham‘s record of most assists in a Premier League season, with the Portuguese midfielder currently on 12 in total.
The Old Trafford icon Beckham, who created 15 goals in the 1999/2000 season, only made seven assists on the road.
Memorable players from other teams who have aided the most goals to their teams on the road include Kevin De Bruyne, Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry who all made nine.
While the two tied for the most at 11 include Cesc Fabregas for Chelsea and Mohamed Salah last season, who was also complimented by the 16 goals he scored.
Fernandes can break Giggs’ record tonight as Man United travel to the Hill Dickinson stadium to face Everton, who sit eight points behind the Manchester team.
If Everton win it can push them into a European race however, the Red Devils are unbeaten under Carrick and will return to the top four if they avoid defeat
The reverse fixture was one of the former boss’ most embarrassing nights in charge after Everton won 1-0 at Old Trafford, while down to ten men for the majority of the game.
