Brooke Hogan reveals why she’s not in Hulk Hogan Netflix doc

Brooke Hogan is sharing why fans will not see her perspective on her father, Hulk Hogan, on his upcoming Netflix docuseries.

The late WWE icon’s life is followed on the four-part show Hulk Hogan: Real American, which premiered on the streamer on April 22. In a conversation with Extra, she explained the reason behind her decision not to be featured in the series.

“Why come out of hiding and talk about something that I’m just gonna get raked over the coals for anyway?,” she said, adding, “It’s missing 98 percent of real life, like it was a beautiful showcase piece on my dad’s life, but it didn’t talk nearly about the underbelly of the beast.”

While Brooke did not want to be a part of the series, Hulk’s son (and Brooke’s brother) Nick was interviewed as well as their mom, Linda Hogan, and his widow Sky Daily Hogan, were interviewed for the series. Although Brooke was not in the series, that featured the scandals throughout his career including his affair with her former friend friend and assistant, “nothing in the documentary was a surprise for her.”

She shared that she “actually watched it kind of scared thinking there would be a surprise for me, and there wasn’t.”

When looking at the documentary, which included the final interview before his death in July 2025 from a heart attack, Brooke is confident that he was no longer suffered from his drug addiction as he “quit cold turkey for a long time.” She did however, share that he addiction was sourced from other vices — women.

“I think his addiction was validation, particularly from women. I think that it was, you know, the sex part,” Brooke continued in her interview. “I think it was… ‘Am I still young? Am I still strong? Am I still attractive? Am I still good enough?’… That led to a lot of his downfalls and a lot of his scandals.”

Brooke has been open about her years-long estrangement from her father and has shared how she’s been grieving his death in her own way.
