Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolves predictions
Brighton & Hove Albion still have something to fight for with three games of the Premier League season remaining.
If Manchester City win the FA Cup, a top-eight finish would be enough to qualify for Europe. That would also be the case if Chelsea lift the trophy and finish in the top six.
The outcome of the FA Cup final will thus help to decide the fate of Brighton and the other overachieving European aspirants, a group which includes Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Everton and Sunderland.
The Seagulls will aim to push higher up the table before the campaign is out. As the eighth-placed side at present, they are vulnerable to missing out on continental competition if Chelsea win the FA Cup and finish seventh or lower.
Moreover, eighth would at best bring with it a place in the Conference League. The Europa League is no doubt Brighton’s target, so they will be looking to rise at least one more place between now and the conclusion of the campaign.
A 3-1 loss to Newcastle United last time out brought Brighton’s five-match unbeaten run to an end. Fabian Hurzeler’s side were not at their best at St James’ Park, allowing Bournemouth, Brentford and Chelsea to climb above them in the table.
Wolves have been planning for life in the Championship for a while now. They were only mathematically relegated in April, but we have known for months that Rob Edwards’ side would not be sticking around.
Edwards has started to come in for criticism from the Wolves fans of late, so he could do with a couple of positive results before the season is out. Unfortunately for the former Luton Town boss, he is unlikely to get one at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves will battle it out at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
More struggles for Wolves
Even after that defeat by Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion have the best record in the Premier League since March 1.
Having come under pressure from the Brighton base in early 2026, Hurzeler has turned things around of late.
He will want to see an improvement on the performance at Newcastle, though, and Wolves are probably ideal opponents against whom to get it.
Edwards’ men appear to have checked out, losing three of their last four matches without scoring a goal.

Brighton to start quickly
Given how disastrous the campaign has been for Wolves, it is not surprising that their collective confidence is on the floor.
By their standards, a 1-1 draw with Sunderland last weekend was a good result, although the outcome would surely have been different had the Black Cats not been reduced to 10 men in the 24th minute.
Brighton will look to take advantage of Wolves’ lack of self-belief by going for the throat early on.
Wolves have not been ahead at the interval in an away game this term, while they have been behind after 45 minutes in 10 out of 17 matches at opposition grounds.
Tip Brighton & Hove Albion to win the first half at 8/11 with 247Bet
Watch out for Welbeck
Danny Welbeck still has an outside chance of making England’s World Cup 2026 squad.
The striker has not been capped by his country since 2018 and he was overlooked by Thomas Tuchel in the March international break, but there is still time for Welbeck to change the England manager’s mind.
Either way, this has been a tremendous season for the Brighton frontman, who seems to be getting better with age.
Welbeck needs one more goal to reach 15 for the campaign for the first time in his career. Saturday could be the day he hits that milestone.
