It's no secret that CM Punk has gotten buff, but despite his body transformation, his former WWE rival Drew McIntyre won't fully give him props.

During an interview with Dan Soder, the “Scottish Warrior” acknowledged that the “Best in the World” has put on some muscle. However, McIntyre is still bigger than Punk.

“I saw he got himself in shape. Now [that] I've been gone for five months, he finally found the gym, that skinny-fat piece of crap,” he said. “I was like, ‘Oh, you're in good shape… for you. Look at me; like, I'm in good shape. You're in good shape for you.'”

Later in the interview, McIntyre, while still saying Punk is a “big piece of crap,” conceded that his former rival is “very, very good at his job.”

He compared Punk's mic skills to Charles Manson because of how he “draws people in.” In turn, he believes this made him the “good guy” in their feud.

Ultimately, McIntyre appears to look back fondly on their feud from 2024. He did say, however, that the “wrong winner” came out on top “in the end.”

The feud began after McIntyre legitimately injured Punk during the 2024 Royal Rumble. Despite not being medically cleared to compete, Punk spent the months during his recovery costing McIntyre world championships at every turn.

Their first bout was at SummerSlam, which McIntyre won. Seth Rollins served as the special guest referee. The second was a “Strap Match” at Bash in Berlin a few weeks later, and Punk won. Their rubber match was a “Hell in a Cell” match at Bad Blood in October 2024. Punk would come out on top.

In the time since their feud ended, they have shared the ring a couple of times. They were in the 2025 Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches and were on opposing teams during the 2025 WarGames match.
