The Indianapolis Colts recently fell to 2-3 with an ugly road loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game was a disappointing fall back to Earth after the team had picked up two straight wins to even up their record.

Now, Sheil Kapadia of The Ringer broke down how the Washington Commanders' brutal clock management fiasco against the New York Giants actually benefited Indianapolis owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon.

“It's been a big point of discussion again this year that Carlie Irsay-Gordon is on the sideline, she's on the headset, she wants to know the conversations that are going on within the headset during these games… if I were the owner of the Commanders, you know what I would want to know? Who screwed that up? How in the world does this happen?” he said, per #RingerNFLShow on X, formerly Twitter.

Indeed, Dan Quinn and the Commanders executed some shocking clock strategy down the stretch of this one, running the clock out in overtime instead of attempting what would have been a game-winning field goal against their divisional rivals.

As Kapadia noted, some have taken issue with Irsay-Gordon frequently being seen on the field and listening in on the headset to what her coaches are saying, but that might become the norm around the league if more blunders like the Commanders' recent one continue to happen.

Meanwhile, the Colts are looking for answers once again after their rough outing against the Steelers. The good news is that they have a seemingly easier game coming up against the winless Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET at home.
