The New York Jets recently improved to 2-3 on the young 2026 NFL season with a narrow home win over the Cleveland Browns. It wasn't exactly a virtuoso display from the Jets' offense in this one, but the team ended up putting 10 points on the board in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

The Jets have been without wide receiver Adonai Mitchell for the last few weeks as he recovers from a finger injury, and on Wednesday, the team got a big update on that front.

“AD Mitchell had a small procedure on his hand but he’s moving his fingers around well. He’s still week to week, Aaron Glenn said,” reported Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter.

Rosenblatt also reported that “Breece Hall, Joe Ossai and Dylan Parham are all also week to week, Aaron Glenn said.”

Mitchell was acquired by the Jets from the Indianapolis Colts last season and has had some big moments thus far in his tenure with New York, although consistency has still been an issue, as has been the case throughout his NFL career following his college stints at Georgia and Texas.

Geno Smith has been playing solid football at quarterback for New York this year, mostly shaking off the bad vibes that surrounded his play last year with the Las Vegas Raiders and vindicating the Jets' decision to reunite with him this past offseason.

In any case, the Jets will hope to have Mitchell back in the lineup when they next hit the field on Sunday for a road game vs the New England Patriots.
