In the next decade, Cody Rhodes will retire from professional wrestling after signing his latest contract with WWE, which will be his “last” one.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, the “American Nightmare” gave an update on the timeline for his retirement. He previously told Van Vliet that he was going to retire at 40. Rhodes, who is now 41, reinforced that the latest contract he signed will be his “last.” However, it will “go for a while.” If all goes well, he plans to retire within the next six or seven years.
“With all that said, my time with WWE could go probably seven years, six [or] seven [years],” he said, before saying he didn't mean to make a “6-7” joke.
Cody Rhodes reveals that he only wants to wrestle for another 6–7 years.
He also reveals that the new contract he recently signed with WWE will be his last.

Now, his timeline is rough. He doesn't want his retirement timeline to be set in stone quite yet, but what's most important is that he doesn't “overstay my welcome.”
He definitely doesn't want to wrestle into his 50s, like legends such as Rey Mysterio are currently doing. Rhodes has been given so much from the industry, but he also knows it's almost his time to “stop taking” from it.
When will Cody Rhodes retire from WWE?

It sounds like Rhodes will retire from WWE within the next decade, so fans should buckle up. He is still at the top of the company, but he seems to understand that Father Time is undefeated.
Some of his decision to hang it up might depend on his success in Hollywood. After having a small role in the Liam Neeson-led Naked Gun reboot, he starred in the Street Fighter movie alongside his former WWE rival, Roman Reigns.
The movie has been a hit so far, grossing over $50 million to date. It topped the domestic box office with its $31.1 million haul during its opening weekend.
