On Thursday, manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani has been making progress, per Jack Harris of The California Post.ÃÂ He said that Ohtani will be making his way back to coach pitching.
Meanwhile, Roberts said that Ohtani is feeling âÂÂnormalish,â per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
The Dodgers clinched their 14th straight playoff berth and are on track to win yet another National League West Division title. Los Angeles is a heavy favorite going into the postseason.
But for Ohtani, it's been an up-and-down year, especially on the mound.

That has jeopardized his chances of winning another NL MVP Award. An honor that will likely go to Chicago Cubs CF Pete Crow-Armstrong. The contest between the two for the honor has captivated the baseball world in the later half of the season.
Nevertheless, Ohtani has remained solid at the plate, even as his numbers declined. He is batting .277 with 139 hits, 30 home runs, and 80 RBIs.
In his NL MVP season last year, Ohtani batted .282 with 172 hits, 55 home runs, and 102 RBIs.
The Dodgers will wrap up a road series against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. Afterward, they will begin a home series against the San Francisco Giants.
