On Prime Video's Nightcap postgame show, Lakers star Luka Doncic gave Blake Griffin some hilarious clarification on the difficulty of his second-quarter heave before halftime. The Lakers star banked in a phenomenal shot from beyond half-court to put the Lakers within 7 heading into halftime.

Doncic joined Nightcap, and Griffin was recapping the moment with him.

“Then you get the half-court shot. That's a 5-point swing,” Griffin said.

Doncic replied, “That was a 3/4 shot, not half-court.”

The cast erupted in laughter as Taylor was clarified, he made the shot from 62 feet. but the shot only punctuated another stellar night for Doncic, as he continued his historic scoring tear.

Doncic finished the game with 53 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal while shooting 51.5% from the field and knocking down 5 3-pointers in only 38 minutes. This is now his fourth straight game where he scored 40 or more points and his second 50-point game of the season, following his 52-point, 10-assist performance against the Utah Jazz on October 25.

In post-game comments, Doncic spoke about how much fun he's been having this season and how he's living out his dream.

“Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun, you know, obviously playing basketball. It's a lot of fun for me. It's more when you play like this and when you win games. Uh so it's been like this my whole life, basketball was my dream. Playing NBA was my dream. So just stay my dream.”
