The Atlanta Braves are one step closer to advancing to the next round of the playoffs after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 in Game 1. The Braves don't want to miss the opportunity to take care of business at home in Game 2, and that means that they're going to need their fans to show up once again.

It may have been a tough spot for Braves fans in Game 1, as the game tipped off in the afternoon, and Game 2 will be the same way. Matt Olson wants fans to be prepared for what's to come, and he's telling them to miss work to show their support.

“I'd say see if you can call in sick to work tomorrow, and let's try to fill it out and get some more,” Olson said.

At this point, it wouldn't be a surprise if some fans found themselves calling in sick to head to the game. The only hope is that they don't get caught on the big screen enjoying themselves. That's probably how some fans got caught in Game 1, especially after Austin Riley's big home run that gave the Braves the lead late in the game.

After the game, Riley spoke about coming up in the clutch for the Braves after an up-and-down regular season.

“It means a lot,” Riley said via Jesús Cano of The Athletic. “I’ve been grinding for these guys and this city all year, for sure, and to finally come up big for them was huge. It’s not over yet. Just a start, but a nice start for sure.”

If the Braves want to make a deep run to the championship, they're going to need Riley to keep playing as he did in Game 1.
