The Philadelphia 76ers were in the building for Media Day, and everybody was excited to see the team come together after all the moves they made during the offseason. Through those moves, they still have their franchise stars, with one of them being Joel Embiid, and he seems excited to get things going.
The 76ers turned into instant title favorites this offseason, and a championship is something that Embiid has been trying to get for some time. In an interview with NBA insider Chris Haynes, he asked Embiid what it would mean to hold the Larry O'Brien trophy at the end of the season.
“Everything. Personally, I would accomplish everything,” Embiid said. “I feel like there's one thing missing. I would love to win a championship, not just for my team, everybody in this building, my family, but most of all for the fans and the city of Philadelphia. They demand excellence. You play hard; they're always going to push for you. When you're not doing your job, they're going to boo you, and you gotta love it. If you're not built for it, you're not going to be able to.”

Embiid has been through a lot during his time with the 76ers, whether it's personally or other things going around the team. Coming into this season, it's by far the best collection of players he's been with, and there will be high expectations for what they're able to accomplish.
The good news is that Embiid is healthy, and that will determine how far they go this season. If he can stay on the court, the 76ers have a good chance of competing for a championship at the end of the season, and nobody would be surprised if they made it far.
