Texas entered the weekend on a two-game losing streak. After losses to Oklahoma and Florida, fans were bailing on Texas, but the Longhorns bounced back on Saturday. They took a 34-27 victory over Ole Miss to get back in the win column.

Now, CFP analyst David Pollack is talking about what he saw from quarterback Arch Manning in the same.

“I can't tell you how excited I was watching Arch Manning. His fire and brimstone and blank you that he was playing with on Saturday night was absolutely awesome. Passion, fun, like, okay, I've had enough, I'm just going to let it rip,” Pollack said. “Ball coming out quick. I loved Arch's passion. I love the fire. I love the swag. It was like evil Arch put his helmet on, went out there, went to work, and was tired of hearing it, and played free, played loose, got rid of the ball. And the first half was the best Arch we've seen in a while.”

Manning had one of his better games og the year. He threw for 212 yards with a touchdown, but was intercepted twice. Still, he ran in two touchdowns. Those were the first two times he has found the end zone on the ground this season. Regardless, there is still work to do for Manning and Texas. He was sacked two more times in the game, bringing his total to 19 on the season. He was sacked just 23 times all of 2025. Meanwhile, he now has seven interceptions this year, which is the same total he had in all of 2025.

Texas jumped up the rankings after the win and will look for their sixth win of the year this Saturday as they host Mississippi State.
