The Heisman Trophy race seems like it is a race for runner-up currently. Jeremiah Smith is the favorite to win the Heisman and could be running away with the voting.

Now, Robert Griffin III is giving his Heisman list, and fans of Miami and Oregon State should be excited.

Griffin has Smith as the frontrunner, ranking him first. Right after Smith is Miami quarterback Darian Mensah. Mensah has been fantastic this year. He has passed for 2,151 yards with 22 touchdowns. Further, he has been picked off just once this year and leads the nation in QBR. Mensah has also scored twice on the ground.

Sitting third on the list is Jesse Legree, the wide receiver from Oregon State. Legree has also been one of the best receivers in the nation. He has brought in 46 receptions for 1,040 yards and 14 touchdowns. The wideout leads the nation in receiving yards and touchdowns this year. He has a touchdown and at least 100 yards in every game this year.

Smith and Legree are not the only receivers on the list currently. Toney leads the nation in receptions this year, hauling in 66 balls already this year. He also has 952 yards and 11 touchdowns. Toney is third in both receiving yards and touchdowns. Smith, Legree, and Toney are the only three receivers in the nation with at least 900 receiving yards. They are also three of the four receivers with ten or more touchdowns, along with Collin Dixon of Illinois.

The list is rounded out by Oregon State quarterback Braden Atkinson. Atkinson leads the nation in both passing yards and passing touchdowns. The sophomore transfer from Mercer has completed 189 of 273 passes for 2,604 yards and 24 touchdowns. He has also scored twice on the ground and thrown just two interceptions. Atkinson also has a receiving touchdown this season.

While Smith is the favorite for the Heisman, the other four are putting up numbers that deserve consideration and should get votes.
