The Baltimore Ravens have been without Lamar Jackson since he exited at halftime in the 24-18 Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans. He's been dealing with an ankle injury for several weeks now, and Adam Schefter's latest update isn't exactly ideal news for the fanbase.

During the latest segment of “NFL Live,” Schefter claimed that the only individual who knows when the 29-year-old quarterback will return from injury is Jackson himself. The Ravens are hoping for his return in Week 8 for the big matchup against the Buffalo Bills, but Jackson's status seemingly remains in the air.

“The Ravens are hopeful he'll be back this week, but the truth of the matter is, only Lamar Jackson knows when he'll be back,” Schefter said. “He returned to practice last week in a limited fashion… He has not had the chance to be Mr. October, but I think everybody's hopeful he can be back in time for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.”

Jackson had the offense rolling when he was on the field for the first three and a half games of the campaign. Baltimore is 3-1 in his first four games, as the nine-year veteran has recorded 967 passing yards, 144 rushing yards, and seven total touchdowns (six passing, one rushing), while completing 70.8% of his pass attempts.

If he is unable to play in Week 8 against the Bills, the Ravens will rely on Tyler Huntley once again. The 28-year-old signal-caller has been serviceable, despite owning a 1-2 record this season in his three starts. He has thrown for 727 yards and four touchdowns while owning a 69.8% completion percentage.
