Syracuse fans won't have to wait much longer to see two-sport phenom Calvin Russell III on the football field.

The highly touted freshman wide receiver is expected to make his Orange football debut against UConn on Oct. 3, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Russell won't play Thursday night against Pitt despite being listed as questionable and participating in warmups last week.

That means Syracuse's upcoming bye week should provide Russell with additional time before finally making his anticipated debut. And there are plenty of reasons to be excited about it.
