The Chicago Cubs watched more power from Pete-Crow Armstrong in hitting home run No. 45 Sunday. But also witnessed a scary moment versus the Cincinnati Reds involving Alex Bregman. Which manager Craig Counsell addressed after the 9-1 rout.
Bregman took a hit to the face with the baseball during the Cubs win. He immediately went to the hospital for tests including CT scans.
Counsell shared this update for Cubs fans and the MLB via the Associated Press.
âÂÂHe got hit in the left cheekbone essentially, under the eye,â Counsell said. âÂÂI don't know anything more than that right now.âÂÂ

âÂÂHe was bleeding from his nose a little,â the manager added. âÂÂThere's some swelling.âÂÂ
The skipper called it âÂÂa terrible, terrible accident.â All while adding: âÂÂWe hope he's OK.âÂÂ
