Warriors forward Jimmy Butler is recovering from a torn ACL on his right knee and staying in the news cycle following Karl-Anthony Towns' wife Jordyn Woods' message. Butler said recently he “feels great” during his rehab stint, with hopes of returning to the Golden State Warriors this season.
The Warriors posted video of Butler working on his game amid his rehab, shooting corner threes and showing promise while doing it.

Butler's dedication to winning is his main focus, he intimated recently among questions about his commitment to the Dubs organization's goals. The former Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls star has played just 68 games over the past two seasons, averaging 20 points last year along with 5.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists.
The ‘Playoff Jimmy' and ‘Himmy Buckets' character Butler has played during playoff stints over the course of his career has mostly gone missing, although he has been an effective player on an aging Warriors team led by coach Steve Kerr and living NBA legend Stephen Curry.
The 2026-27 Warriors have plenty of optimism led by Brandin Podziemski, who got an excited take from Kerr. Draymond Green's relationship with ex-Michigan star and agitator Yaxel Lendeborg will be one to watch going forward as well. Green roasted Lendeborg ahead of the season, sparking fears that he could have a Jordan Poole style rivalry with his former Wolverines teammate.
The Warriors are a combustible but exciting group heading into the season, and Butler embodies their dark horse playoff contending persona. Butler won't be able to help for a while, but it looks like he's doing everything in his power to make a triumphant return.
