Referees catch a lot of flak in the NFL. In the minds of fans, they are rarely ever right, despite the fact that, truthfully, they don't miss all that many calls. Referee Adrian Hill was genuinely wrong for what he did in the Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins game, though.

While being blocked by Miami's Ollie Gordon, Eric Willson was pushed into Hill, causing the referee to fall to the ground. It was clearly unintentional and not even Wilson's fault, yet Hill jumped up and began screaming at the linebacker. This was despite the fact that Wilson was even trying to help the referee up.

Getting hit by a full-speed NFL player who is wearing a helmet is no fun, but that didn't give Hill the right to respond the way that he did. The incident certainly won't affect Wilson's play going forward, though. The linebacker has 20 tackles on the season, which is tied for second on the team. The player who started his career in Minnesota before returning to the team last year has 535 career tackles.

Wilson's Vikings are up 6-0 on the Dolphins with the second half nearing an end, and another win would make the team 4-0, a record that would have shocked almost everyone coming into the year.
