The Baltimore Ravens were dealt another brutal loss, this time to the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens pulled off a huge overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday, even without Lamar Jackson, but they gave up a double-digit lead. That was partly because Tyler Loop missed a crucial 4th-quarter field goal.

Early in the fourth quarter, Loop missed a 49-yard field goal that would have put the Ravens up 13-3. When the Ravens got the ball back, Derrick Henry fumbled, giving the Browns the ball on the Baltimore 35-yard line and ultimately scoring touchdowns that secured the lead.

In a quote obtained by Jamison Hensley, Loop discussed his missed field goal that ultimately cost the team the game. In a quote obtained by Jamison Hensley, Loop discussed his missed field goal that ultimately cost the team the game.

“I just did not strike it the way I needed to. Didn't hit the ball clean and ended up having some bad rotation and just sliding out to the left,” he said.

The loss is the Ravens' 17th double-digit blown lead since the 2018 season, the most in the NFL.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter spoke about Henry's fumble in post-game media availability, defending the star running back.

“Nobody works harder at ball security [than Henry]. It happened, [and] it was a good play by them. I’d like for us to be able to rise up and get a stop right there and have each other’s backs, [and] we weren’t able to do that. It becomes an even bigger play when you’re not able to kind of back it up with the defense. So, it is what it is.”
