The Philadelphia Eagles have had an unfortunate start to the season, and it's all been due to injuries. Their latest injury happens to be season-ending for their franchise quarterback, as Jalen Hurts was found to have blood clots in his lungs. Blood clots are always something to take seriously, and past athletes who have dealt with them have had their seasons shut down as they try to make a full recovery.

For the Eagles, they'll now have to play the rest of the year with another quarterback, and for now, it looks like Tanner McKee will be the option. As far as fantasy goes, that means that some players could see some changes in their numbers moving forward.

To start with McKee, there are some other options out there that are probably better to have on your fantasy team than him at the moment. He didn't have a bad stat line against the Carolina Panthers, but it wasn't something that a QB1 would have.

McKee did get his top two pass catchers involved, which is probably good for fantasy owners who have DeVonta Smith or Dallas Goedert. Those will probably be his two favorite targets for the remainder of the season, and there could be games where they stand out, while they might not have much of an impact in other ones.

The run game is still TBD, especially with all the injuries at the position. There is hope that Saquon Barkley returns soon, which is good news for the Eagles. They haven't had much success when he's on or off the floor, but it wouldn't be surprising if they tried to lean on the run game a little more than usual with McKee in the lineup. The more attempts that Barkley gets, the better chance he has of breaking off for a big one.
